Ahliyyah and Bishop School Campus
Educational Facility | Amman, Jordan
As an extension to its current campuses being rooted in their cultural context, urban fabric, and historical background, the new campus takes the student as the cornerstone and puts them at the core of how it is developed. This allows for it to not only become a beacon of knowledge and human understanding but also entrenches within its students how they relate to their direct environment, to their Jordan, and to their global identity. In return, this establishes a sense of social and human responsibility towards their micro and larger communities. What differentiates an ASG & BSA student from the other ones goes beyond the curriculum and the traditional notions of education, these students have long set examples on what is an Enlightened Arab student is. Inspired by that very differentiating factor, the design for the new campus was based around the idea of creating a student-centric establishment that understands, nurtures learning beyond the walls of the classroom and acknowledges the mind, heart, and soul of every student. The foundations of the new campus championed pillars of culture and human sciences that have always been at the heart of every student. Through creating them as the common denominator and the basis that transforms education into learning, and a student into a global citizen with an understanding of themselves and the world at large, we chose this as our starting point and the roots of where the new campus would grow.
