King Abdullah II Park Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse

Planning | Amman, Jordan

Greater Amman Municipality envisioned to renovate the park as a new house for entrepreneurial ecosystems. Our proposal was set for this to grow as a natural evolution of the original character and memory of the park, creating balance between what the city needs and what the new inhabitants of the entrepreneur’s center require. Reclaiming the ‘City Park’ was fundamental, accessibility channels of the parks are revisited to bring the park closer to the people. Existing structures built in the 90s shall be renovated to offer the city with six new halls. Our entry proposes giving the park and its rehabilitation the first priority by intensifying the green and revitalizing the original masterplan structures, and from that gradually move into the entrepreneurial components of the project.
